About Bojan Krkic:
Bojan Krkic's father (also called Bojan) is a Serbian ex-professional footballer who played for Red Star Belgrade during the 1980s and married Bojan's mother, a Catalan woman called Maria Lluïsa Pérez, when he moved to Spain. Bojan Krkic was born in 1990 in Catalonia, Spain and joined FC Barcelona's youth ranks as a nine year old in 1999.
Having scored 961 goals in seven record breaking years, it was little wonder that the hierarchy at Barcelona felt that Bojan Krkic was the future of the football club, even at the tender age of sixteen. Bojan's goalscoring exploits and his quick attacking style brought him Europe-wide admiration at the 1996 European Under-17 Championships where he finished joint top goalscorer and a year later at the same tournament when he helped inspire the Spanish U-17 side to eventual glory.
Having been blooded in the Barcelona B side as a sixteen year old, Bojan signed professional forms with FC Barcelona in 2006 when he turned seventeen and has progressed in the 2007/2008 season to the Barcelona first team squad where he has became the youngest player ever to play in the UEFA Champion's League and Barcelona's youngest ever goalscorer in a La Liga game.
Despite his slight frame, Bojan Krkic is a tough little competitor and can devastate sides with his pace, skill and deadly eye for goal as many Spanish youth teams can admit to. Bojan Krkic is, without any doubt, one of world soccer's most promising young stars.
