About David Silva:
David Silva was born in Spain on 8th January 1986 and has established himself as a talented and exciting midfielder playing for both Valencia and the Spanish national team. Silva began his professional club career at Valencia and has remained at the club ever since developing his natural talent and becoming one of the integral members of the Valencia first team.
At the beginning of Silva’s club career at Valencia he struggled to gain first team acceptance and was loaned out to SD Eibar for a short period to build up his experience. While on loan Silva impressed in the midfield role and his attacking flair brought him 5 goals in 35 appearances for the club. Following his loan spell at SD Eibar Silva was again loaned out, this time to fellow Spanish La Liga club Celta Vigo.
At Celta Vigo David Silva again impressed scoring a further 4 goals in 31 matches. It was clear for all to see that Silva was developing into one of Valencia’s hottest prospects for the future. Following this loan spell at Celta Vigo Silva returned to Valencia where he has cemented his place as a regular in the first team squad.
David Silva is an adaptable player who can play on the left, the centre or the right of midfield to a high standard. Despite his young age Silva is a commanding player who leads from the midfield and is adept at controlling the run of play. Silva is widely regarded as one of Valencia’s brightest talents and he recently signed a new contract pledging his allegiance to the club.
David Silva plays international football for the Spanish national side since first making his debut against Romania in November 2006. Since making his debut for the senior team Silva has solidified his place amongst the first team elite with the national squad.
